What you'll cover

This course provides a practical introduction to the industrial painting trade, designed to meet employer needs and prepare learners for entry-level opportunities in the sector. It focuses on developing the core knowledge, skills, and safe working practices required to begin a career in industrial painting.

Learners will gain an understanding of surface preparation, the correct use of brushes, rollers, and spraying equipment, and the application of protective coatings. You will also cover key aspects of health and safety, including working at height, handling materials, and following industry regulations.

Practical workshop sessions form an essential part of the course, allowing learners to apply their new skills in a realistic environment and gain confidence in producing high-quality finishes. On successful completion, you will achieve an NOCN-recognised qualification that can support progression into employment or further training within the painting and coatings industry.
